چکیده

In recent years, extensive studies have been undertaken in order to provide Quality of Service (QoS) for individual mobile nodes in wireless networks. With the development of Network Mobility (NEMO) technology, the provision of QoS for moving networks based on NEMO is emerging as a new research area. However, it is very difficult to directly apply existing QoS technologies to NEMO because of the unique characteristics of such networks. This paper proposes a novel two-level aggregation-based QoS architecture to guarantee QoS for moving networks based on NEMO. In this architecture, flow aggregation and dynamic SLS negotiation are applied at the two levels. Furthermore, a universal signalling protocol is being designed to meet the QoS requirement of NEMO. This signaling protocol can transfer the control information not only between the two levels in the NEMO network but also between the NEMO network and the visited network domain.

Recommendations Based QoS Trust Aggregation and Routing in Mobile Adhoc Networks

In mobile adhoc netwotk (MANET), a node’s quality of service (QoS) trust represents how much it is reliable in quality. QoS trust of a node is computed based on its multiple quality parameters and it is an interesting and challenging area in MANETs. In this work, QoS trust is evaluated by taking into consideration quality parameters like node residual energy, bandwidth and mobility. The propose...

Improving Quality of Service Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks Using OLSR

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) are constructed by mobile nodes without access point. Since MANET has certain constraints, including power shortages, an unstable wireless environment and node mobility, more power-efficient and reliable routing protocols are needed. The OLSR protocol is an optimization of the classical link state algorithm. OLSR introduces an interesting concept, the multipoint r...

Information Centric Networking based Handover Support for QoS Maintenance in Cooperative Heterogeneous Wireless Networks

Network of Information (NetInf) is a term coined for networks which unlike contemporary network are not node centric. As the name indicates, information supersedes nodes in the network. In this report, we propose an architecture of mobile node for NetInf. We call it NetInf Mobile Node. It is an extension of the basic node architecture proposed for NetInf. It is compatible to NetInf and TCP/IP b...

A Context Aware Based Pre-handoff Support Approach to Provide Optimal Qos for Streaming Applications over Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks – Hosa

Large variations in network Quality of Service (QoS) such as bandwidth, latency, jitter, and reliability may occur during media transfer over vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET). Usage of VANET over mobile and wireless computing applications experience “bursty” QoS behavior during the execution over distributed network scenarios. Applications such as streaming media services need to adapt their f...
